Welcome to my blog! I have been a music teacher in the private studio setting for over twenty five years. One of the most challenging aspects of my job is equipping parents to support their child’s music practice at home. In my experience, the quantity and quality of practice at home is often the deciding factor between students making long term progress or quitting. The goal of this blog is to encourage and educate parents so they can become effective in their music coaching at home. Each post will offer ideas, tips, and tricks to make their job easier.
About the author
My name is Robin Wohlfeil. As the owner of an active private music studio, I draw from my diverse background as a mom, grand-mom, nurse and musician to teach piano and guitar to students ranging from age 4 to 84. I hold degrees in nursing and music and have training in the Suzuki and Musikgarten approaches to music education. I like to take time out of my busy schedule to read, write, walk, and spend time with my family.
